It's been a long time I saw the Matrix in my teen years, and I will have to watch it again to relive the memories. It's been a long time since I saw the Matrix - actually in a philosophy class back in high school - and I loved it then but haven't rewatched ever since. I'll have to do that before this new movie though I'm not sure why we're having this movie now... I don’t know how well people remember the matrix, but for someone who doesn't remember it that well - it was very refreshing to get a movie with so many callbacks and plot explainers, lol. I personally like the fanservice-y  meta-commentary and breaking the 4th world aspect of it…and love the cast (which, apart from the amazing Keanu Reeves and some other white actors like NPH who I adore, is super, super diverse — and I love that!) Reading online though it seems superfans don't appreciate the lack of actions and some of the lame plot choices but who cares. As someone who watches it casually, I love the movie!
